Developed and extensively tested at ILE’s manufacturing plant and the British Standard Institute’s test facility at Northampton.

This product is now being installed by the General Electric Corporation on 38 special lifting platforms for the New World Cargo Handling Depot at London’s Heathrow Airport. Each Platform has four guide rails and safety devices which had to be synchronised and operated from one friction type governor. The unique design features of the ILE safety gear ensured that this difficult task was operated without any problems. The safety gear has also been specified on a range of lifts in Asia.
